Your Boise Host - Asha
Hi friends, I’m Asha! I’m a Boise native who loves to read romance, fantasy, and literary fiction and is absolutely obsessed with bringing people together over good books, good vibes and a little bit of chaos (the fun kind).
When I’m not reading, I’m usually hanging out with my two cats, friends, and family. You can also find me on a hike, creating BookTok content or diving into psychology based research studies.
I fell in love with Harry Potter at age 10, and at age 23, I fell in love with Throne of Glass series (especially Queen of Shadows), so I am always ready to talk fantasy worlds, angst, romance tropes and everything in between.
My essential reading snacks include spearmint tea, Nutella biscuits and popcorn!
I am beyond excited to be a part of The Vibrant Book Club - creating spaces that feel welcoming, creative and genuinely fun, where we can connect and share our love of books together.
Your Boise Host - Rachel
Hi fellow book lovers, I’m Rachel! I’m originally from Happy Valley, Oregon, and moved to Meridian, Idaho in 2021. I’ve been married to my superstar husband, James, for 21 years, and we have two amazing kids, Nolan and Cambria, my fellow book-loving daughter.
I’ve been obsessed with books for most of my adult life and love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a yummy drink. Historical fiction is my favorite genre, but I also love romance, thrillers, biographies, nonfiction, and classics. My all-time favorite series is The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion by Beth Brower.
When I’m not reading, you’ll find me teaching Jazzercise, spending time with my family, walking my dogs, or crafting something fun with my Cricut. I’m a total creative at heart and love making, decorating, and DIY-ing just about anything.
As a transplant to Meridian, I struggled to find connection and meet women with similar interests. When I found The Vibrant Book Club, I knew it was exactly what I had been looking for. I’m so excited to be part of this amazing community and help bring more bookish friendships, creativity, and connection to the Treasure Valley!
